02Your recovery phrase is the backup to your wallet. Write it down and never type it into a website.
03A SIMPLE CHECKLIST
Take your time. Confirm each step on your device, and stop if anything feels unexpected.
Read Trezor’s official learning resources ↗Use a device purchased from Trezor or an authorized reseller. Check the packaging for signs of tampering.
Type trezor.io/start into your browser or use a trusted bookmark—avoid sponsored search links.
Download Trezor Suite only from Trezor’s website, then connect your device and follow its prompts.
Write the recovery words on paper or a durable offline backup. Keep them private and physically secure.
Set a PIN and verify receiving addresses on the hardware wallet screen before sharing them.
KEEP YOUR BACKUP SAFE
Your recovery phrase unlocks your wallet. Anyone who gets it can take your funds.
Never enter your recovery phrase into a website, app, email, or chat.
Not even someone claiming to be Trezor Support will need it.Support will never ask for your recovery words.
Do not photograph it or save it in cloud storage.
